Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and warns that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.
This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
